About Me
About me? Hmm… that’s a toughie to write about! He-he!
Born and raised right here in SW Oklahoma, I cant help but to love our unique setting, you will see that I photograph a lot of my sessions out in it!
Firstly and most importantly I am a wife and mother, my family is my entire world! I am very blessed to have a husband in my life who supports me fully with what I want to do, and I wouldn’t have anything to do with photography if it weren’t for him! ♥
I have always loved taking pictures and back in the day, you could count on me having one of those green disposable Fuji cameras at any given time, ha-ha! When my oldest daughter was born I went to Sears Portrait Studios (may they rest in peace) 😉 16 time in her first 12 months! Yep! You read that correctly! I knew right then that there had to be a better way! 🙂 My desire to find a better way has turned into a deep passion. Over the past few years I have learned and developed my skills in all aspects of photography. I love learning about it and I will never be satisfied with what I know now. I will keep learning any and everything I can about photography. The more I learn the more passionate I become.
One of the best things I have gotten out of my photography journey is meeting SO many wonderful people! The photography community is so full of eager to teach, eager to take under their wing amazing people! If I suddenly had to stop shooting, I know that I would at least be left with so many great new lifelong friends, something that could never be taken from me, and I would be grateful for that!
I have recently retired from teaching a beginners digital photography class at my local technology center, I love to keep in contact with my students and see their growth and involvement in the photography community. Portrait photography is by far my favorite, I love taking photos of people, maternity, newborn and high school seniors top the list! And outdoors with mother nature all around is what calls to me! Don’t get me wrong I do love some fun, edgy, urban settings as well 😉
