A Magical Windy Day |Lawton, Oklahoma Maternity Photographer

These first time parents came all the way from the Dallas, Texas area for their maternity session. They saw scenic photos online and decided they wanted their maternity session to be held specifically in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, near Lawton, Oklahoma. I was the lucky photographer found to capture their maternity milestone! I was eager to show them around and had high hopes for a beautiful spring day!

Mother Nature had other ideas! She decided to throw us a curve-ball and challenge us with a severe weather wind advisory; 20-30 mph wind gusts. The cold front quite literally moved in at the same time we were meeting up. Wind is no stranger to SW Oklahoma photoshoots, you learn to roll with it, I am so grateful that mommy and daddy to be were complete troopers! The wind was truly a nightmare technically speaking, we had to try and keep to wind block areas, but we had fun, and created great keepsakes to cherish!
